Special Focus on Promoting Entrepreneurship and Self-Reliance Among Brahmin Women
Chandigarh: The All India Brahmin Federation (AIBF) has announced the launch of “Women’s Empowerment Mission 2030”, a nationwide initiative aimed at making Brahmin women economically empowered and self-reliant. The ambitious campaign seeks to promote women’s entrepreneurship by providing training, financial assistance, market linkages, and the resources required to establish businesses at the local level.
The Federation believes that sustainable social development is not possible without increasing women’s economic participation. It noted that, despite possessing talent and potential, many women—particularly those in rural areas—are unable to access adequate opportunities due to social and structural barriers. Through Mission 2030, the Federation aims to address these challenges through a coordinated effort to empower women and enable them to become financially independent.
National President Dr. Pradeep Jyothi, National General Secretary Yashpal Tiwari, Chief Advisor Pandit Padam Prakash Sharma, National Treasurer K. Keshav Rao, senior office-bearers Pandit Kesari Chandra Bhanwarlal Sharma and Shekhar Shukla, Women’s Wing President Malini N., Youth Wing President K. Naveen Kumar, and Secretary (Administration) Umadhar Pathak stated that this initiative is not merely an act of social service but an important step towards nation-building and community development. The mission has been designed to nurture self-reliant, empowered, and successful women entrepreneurs within the Brahmin community.
National General Secretary Yashpal Tiwari said that the Federation will work to ensure that a larger number of women benefit from various entrepreneurship schemes launched by the Central and State Governments, including the Annapurna Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Stree Shakti Scheme, Mahila Udyam Nidhi Scheme, and Orient Mahila Vikas Yojana. In addition, women will be encouraged to establish self-employment ventures and businesses in sectors such as food processing, cosmetics, tourism, information technology (IT), and other emerging industries.
According to Yashpal Tiwari, the mission will provide women with business training, professional guidance, confidence-building, institutional support, access to credit facilities, and marketing assistance to help them establish and successfully grow their enterprises.
The Federation has appealed to intellectuals, social organizations, and partner institutions to extend their guidance, cooperation, and encouragement to make the campaign a success. It stated that, with collective support, a comprehensive action plan will be developed and implemented effectively across the country.
