“Diksharambh 2026” Organized at NSIT, IFSCS to Mark the Beginning of the New Academic Session
Swamiji Inaugurates Security Operations Center Lab

Narnarayan Shastri Institute of Technology – Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security (NSIT, IFSCS), Jetalpur, Ahmedabad, affiliated with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, organized a special programme, “Diksharambh 2026,” to mark the beginning of the new academic session. The programme was held in the presence of the institute’s chief patron, Shastri Swami Atmaprakash Dasji, and under the guidance of Shri Janmangal Swami and institute Vice President Dharmesh Vandra. The programme, symbolizing the beginning of a new journey of learning, knowledge acquisition and professional development for students, was attended by students of the institute.
Institute Principal Professor Dr. Sailesh Iyer stated that the three-day programme is being organized at the auditorium of the NSIT campus in Ahmedabad. The inspiring theme of the programme is “A new future begins with the first ray of knowledge.” Distinguished guests and experts associated with various professional and academic fields are participating in the programme. The prominent guests include Dhruv Pandit, Prof. (Dr.) Robert Green, Dr. Madhusudan R.N. and Vijay Mandora.
The presence of eminent personalities will provide students with valuable experiences, inspiration and guidance regarding academic excellence, professional development and emerging opportunities in the fields of technology, forensic science and cybersecurity.
He said that “Diksharambh 2026” reflects the institute’s commitment to providing students with a strong and inspiring beginning to their academic journey. The objective of the programme is to create an environment in which students can connect with the vision of the institute, understand the importance of knowledge and innovation, and prepare themselves for future professional challenges. The programme is being organized at NSIT, IFSCS, Ahmedabad, with the objective of welcoming students and inspiring them to enter a new phase of education and personal development.
Campus Director Sanjay Sharma stated that on this occasion, the Security Operations Center (SOC) Lab was inaugurated by Swamiji and the distinguished guests. This is an important step towards strengthening practical education, training and research in the field of cybersecurity.
The SOC Lab has been inaugurated as part of the institute’s academic and technological initiatives. Its objective is to provide students with the practical knowledge and skills required to deal with rapidly evolving cyber threats and digital security challenges.
The newly established facility will provide students and researchers with practical experience in various areas, including real-time cyber threat monitoring, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), identification and response to cyber incidents, network security monitoring, digital forensics and vulnerability assessment.
The SOC Lab will also support cybersecurity training, academic projects, research activities, workshops, cyber drills and Capture-the-Flag exercises. This will help develop an effective ecosystem for experiential learning and innovation at the institute.
He stated that on the occasion, the institute highlighted the importance of developing skilled cybersecurity professionals who are capable of protecting critical digital infrastructure and effectively addressing emerging cyber threats.
The establishment of the SOC Lab reflects the institute’s commitment to providing students with modern technological facilities and learning opportunities aligned with industry requirements. The facility will serve as an important platform for students studying cybersecurity, digital forensics, computer science and other fields associated with emerging technologies.
The inauguration of the SOC Lab further strengthens the institute’s vision of preparing students as technically proficient human resources so that they can make an effective contribution to India’s rapidly evolving cybersecurity ecosystem.
