On the occasion of World Environment Day, a tree plantation drive was launched at the campus of Narnarayan Shastri Institute of Technology, Forensic Science and Cyber Security (NSIT), Jetalpur, in collaboration with the Gujarat Forest Department. The objective of the program was to promote environmental sustainability, strengthen environmental conservation efforts, and increase public awareness about the importance of protecting nature.
The plantation drive was organized under the guidance and presence of the institution’s Chief Patron Shastri Swami Atmaprakashdasji, Management Trustee Shastri Swami Purushottam Prakashdasji, Vice President Dharmesh Vandra, and under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Suryanarayan Ayyar, Principal of NSIT-IFSCS. The event reflected the institution’s commitment to effectively implementing national initiatives and activities related to public welfare.
Faculty members, officials, staff, researchers, and students enthusiastically participated in the event, including Dr. Vishali Sharma, Dr. Harjeet Singh, Dr. Shivani Pandya, Dr. Nikunj Tahilramani, Dr. Akash Takkar, Dr. Saurabh Kapoor, Dr. Neelmani Srivastava, Ms. Meenal Shah, Ms. Pooja Pandya, Aromal Venugopal, and Anant Patil. During the plantation drive, all participants pledged to make every possible effort to protect and nurture the trees planted on the campus.
Dr. Vishali Sharma stated that a variety of indigenous and environmentally beneficial plants were planted across the campus, symbolizing the collective commitment towards a greener and healthier future.
The distinguished faculty members present at the event highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and urged everyone to contribute actively towards expanding green cover and maintaining ecological balance. They emphasized that tree plantation is not merely an activity but a long-term investment in the well-being of future generations.
