Protection of the Interests of the Brahmin Community Guided by the Philosophy of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” to be Discussed at All India Brahmin Federation Meeting

Concrete Efforts for the Protection of Brahmin Interests at National and State Levels are Essential – S.D. Sharma

Jaipur, July 1,
Pandit S.D. Sharma, National President of the All India Brahmin Federation and former Chairman of the Rajasthan Devasthan Board, said that the Brahmin community has always worked in accordance with the philosophy of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” (May all be happy), with the objective of ensuring collective progress and development for all sections of society.
Speaking during a preparatory meeting held ahead of the Federation’s National Executive and Representative Assembly scheduled for July 4–5 in Jaipur, Pandit Sharma stated that since its inception, the All India Brahmin Federation has been making continuous efforts for the welfare and protection of the interests of the Brahmin community. Representatives of the organization have consistently raised issues concerning the community at every appropriate platform. During the upcoming national meeting, discussions will be held with Brahmin representatives from across the country to gather suggestions on issues concerning the community. Based on these recommendations, a memorandum will be prepared and submitted to the government for appropriate action.
Pandit Sharma further stated that several states in the country have already established Brahmin Welfare Corporations. He urged that similar corporations should also be established at the national level and in those states where they have not yet been constituted. Adequate budgetary allocations should be made so that financial assistance can be provided to students, employment opportunities can be enhanced for youth, and deserving and needy members of the community can receive necessary support.
He emphasized that deserving and economically weaker youth across the country require guidance and assistance in education and employment. Therefore, appropriate welfare measures should be introduced. He added that the Federation and its affiliated state units would also deliberate on expanding educational and career guidance programmes for adolescents and youth so that existing initiatives can be strengthened and future programmes can be planned according to emerging needs, enabling talented youth to progress further.
The meeting also reviewed arrangements for representatives arriving from different parts of the country. Among those who participated in the discussion were Rajasthan Brahmin Mahasabha State President Radheshyam Jaimini, Jaipur Metropolitan President Mohan Prakash Sharma, Federation National Organising General Secretary Ashwini Tiwari, Rajasthan Brahmin Mahasabha office-bearer Shiv Kumar Bhardwaj, Federation Coordination Secretary Ramesh Ojha, and several other organizational functionaries.
According to information provided by the Federation’s National Chief General Secretary, Dronamraju Ravi Kumar, a set of resolutions focusing on the welfare, development, and emerging needs of the Brahmin community has been prepared for presentation at the meeting. These proposals will be discussed and approved by the National Representative Assembly, after incorporating suggestions received from various states, following which further action will be initiated.
It is noteworthy that the All India Brahmin Federation, established in 1984, is one of the country’s leading and influential organizations representing the Brahmin community and has been consistently working for the protection of Brahmin interests. The current National President, Pandit S.D. Sharma, was unanimously elected to the post during the Federation’s national meeting held in Kurukshetra, Haryana, in October 2025, with the overwhelming support of Brahmin representatives from across India.
Since assuming office, Pandit Sharma has been making sustained efforts for the protection of the interests of the Brahmin community and has been engaging with affiliated units across all states to formulate a comprehensive roadmap for future initiatives. The responsibility of the Memorandum Drafting Committee has been entrusted to National Chief General Secretary Dronamraju Ravi Kumar and National Organising General Secretary Ashwini Tiwari.
