
Bikaner, June 13: The 32nd State Conference of the All Rajasthan Consumer Organization Federation and the 15th Foundation Day Celebration of the Consumer Protection and Safety Committee were organized in Bikaner on Saturday. Activists and office-bearers associated with the consumer movement from various districts of the state participated in the event.
Addressing the gathering as the chief speaker, Dr. Anant Sharma, National Chairman of CCI, said that consumers should remain aware of their rights and raise their voices against any defective product or poor service. He emphasized that only an informed and vigilant consumer can effectively safeguard his or her rights.
Jethanand Vyas, MLA from Bikaner West, and social worker Madan Meghwal appealed to consumers to stay aware of their rights. They stated that consumer rights have been established for the protection of consumers and therefore people should remain informed about them.
The speakers advised consumers to check the quality of products before purchasing, verify the expiry date, and always obtain a proper purchase bill. Yogesh Paliwal, State President of the Federation, said that consumers should be aware not only of their rights but also of their responsibilities and should remain vigilant against any kind of irregularity.
During the conference, National President Preeti Pandya urged consumers to make purchases carefully and consciously and to exercise their rights so that the possibility of exploitation can be minimized.
The grand convention was attended by Chandra Shekhar Sharma, Dinesh Kakra, Arun Agrawal, Mamta Singh Sukhwal, Bhup Singh Pal, V.P. Halchal, Mukesh Vaishnav, Jyoti Gaur, and Dipendra Singh Rajawat, along with several other office-bearers and social workers, who shared their views on protecting consumer interests and enhancing public awareness.
The speakers resolved to further strengthen the consumer movement and increase awareness among the general public regarding their rights. The program was conducted by Shiv Dadhich.
