
Chandigarh, June 27:
The National Executive Council Meeting of the All India Brahmin Federation (AIBF) will be held on July 4 and 5, 2026, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
National General Secretary Yashpal Tiwari said that the two-day meeting will be chaired by Dr. Pradeep Jyoti, National President of the All India Brahmin Federation. The organization’s Chief Advisor, Pt. Padam Prakash Sharma, will be present as a special guest. The meeting is being organized by Shri Brahmin Parishad, Agra, with Umadhar Pathak serving as the Organising Convenor.
He informed that on the first day, July 4, representatives, including chief office-bearers of Brahmin organizations from 29 States and 4 Union Territories, will participate in registration, introduction, and welcome sessions.
On the second day, July 5, 2026, the meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. with Vedic chanting, prayer, and a formal welcome ceremony in the presence of delegates from various States. Besides discussions on organizational and administrative matters, a key agenda item will be deliberations on the long-standing reservation policy, including a proposal to shift its basis from caste to economic criteria.
General Secretary Tiwari further stated that, in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution of India, historically significant temples should have financial autonomy. Just as other religious institutions have the right to manage their own finances, temples should also be granted similar freedom. This issue will be discussed in detail during the meeting.
The Council will also emphasize strengthening coordination through continuous interaction with representatives from different States. Recognizing the importance of communication in the modern era, special attention will be given to developing an effective media and communication network for the organization.
