On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day 2026, SAL Medical College and SAL Hospital organized a grand celebration featuring a variety of cultural and creative activities on Wednesday. Along with their commitment to patient care, the doctors also showcased their diverse talents through an array of performances and competitions.
At the beginning of the programme, CEO Dr. Nitin Shah appreciated the doctors for their selfless service and dedication and encouraged them to maintain a healthy balance between their professional responsibilities and personal lives. He said that doctors are often required to serve even under the most challenging circumstances. While remaining fully committed to providing the best possible treatment to patients, they should also effectively fulfill their personal and family responsibilities.
In her keynote address, Managing Director Dr. Neha Shah praised the doctors for their dedication, service-oriented approach and enthusiastic participation in the programme. She emphasized that despite the availability of advanced medical facilities and modern technology, a doctor’s humane approach and compassion towards patients play the most significant role in making treatment successful. She urged doctors to continue treating patients with empathy, kindness and a positive attitude to ensure their complete recovery.
Dean Dr. Jayendra Singh Jadeja thanked all the participants and the organizing committee for conducting an inspiring and well-organized Doctors’ Day celebration. He called upon doctors to continue performing their professional responsibilities with complete sincerity and dedication.
More than 100 doctors enthusiastically participated in various competitions and performances, including Art & Craft, Singing, Stand-up Comedy, Poetry Recitation and Theatrical Performances. One of the major highlights of the event was the Funny Title Distribution Ceremony, during which doctors were presented with entertaining and humorous titles. The melodious musical performances by the doctors further filled the atmosphere with joy and celebration.
The programme served as a wonderful example that doctors are not only skilled medical professionals but also possess remarkable talent in the fields of art, literature and culture. The event further strengthened the spirit of camaraderie, enthusiasm and unity among the medical fraternity.
On the occasion, the glorious legacy of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the inspiration behind National Doctors’ Day in India, was remembered with deep respect. Remembering his invaluable contributions to healthcare and public service, all the participants pledged to follow his ideals.
